Ofsted & School Performance

Seymour Park Community Primary is a highly successful school. Our children’s achievements are significantly above the national averages by the end of Key Stage Two. We are very proud of our success.

As an ambitious school, we have the highest of expectations for our children and school family. To ensure Seymour Park Community Primary School achieves its vision of making a world of difference, our governors set long-term school improvement goals. These goals form our Strategic Plan for the next five years and can be found here:

Seymour Park Community Primary School Strategic Plan 2021 - 2026Each year we set priorities for school improvement based on an evaluation of the previous year. Our response to the Covid-19 pandemic was rightly prioritised during the pandemic as we sought to protect our school family and maintain our children's learning and development.

In 2022/2023, as we continue to move forward, our school improvement priorities are:

Embed oracy and language skills across the school

Develop STEM teaching and learning

Raise attendance rates

Embed changes to Seymour Park Experience (Our curriculum) in particular early reading and PE

We conduct a parent survey every year. Here are the results from November 2022:

If you have the time, we would love parents to give their opinions of Seymour Park on Ofsted’s parent-view website. It is very quick to register and your feedback would be very welcome and helpful. Follow the link here:
