Behaviour Treat

As part of the end-of-term behaviour treat and our Healthy Lifestyle Project, we will be organising a time for the children to have a healthy snack, some games and lots of fun in the park next Friday.

Each year group will go to the park for 45 minutes; they will have 15 minutes for a healthy snack, 15 minutes for an organised (exercise) activity and 15 minutes for a free play.

The children will go to the park at the following times:

9:10 – 9:55 – Year 1                          9:55 – 10:40 – Reception

10:40 – 11:25 – Year 2                     11:25 – 12:10 – Year 3

1:05 – 1:50 – Year 4                          1:50 – 2:35 – Year 5

2:20 – 3:05 Year 6

The children can wear their own clothes on behaviour treat day, but please make sure they wear loose clothing, suitable for the park and for doing exercise.

Last year the trip was cancelled due to very bad weather.  This year we have decided to embrace the Manchester weather, and come rain or shine we will still go to the park!

If it is raining, or looking gloomy in the morning please send your children to school in suitable waterproof clothes and also SEND A COMPLETE CHANGE OF CLOTHES WITH THEM FOR AFTER THEIR PARK VISIT (this should include underwear and shoes).

We will provide a little food and some drinks for the children, but we would like each child to bring in a small healthy snack to share.  This should be one portion, but chopped and prepared so that it can be shared with other children.  Please ensure that snacks are sent in little bags, or paper plates, with cling film, that can be thrown away after the picnic.

Please check your child's letter to find out which snack to bring.

Can you volunteer to help to do any of these things?

  • Help escort the children to the park
  • Lead (or help) with some games – these could be traditional games from another country

Please let me know in person, by phone or email on Monday if you can help out in any way.  Thanks so much
